Most California workers are likely lucky enough to finish out the workday without anything out of the ordinary occurring. Unfortunately, other individuals may not be so lucky and could possibly have been involved in a serious accident on the job. These incidents could lead to workplace injuries, and one or more people could end up struggling to recover from their injuries and deal with the financial impacts that result.
One worker in another state may be facing such a predicament. It was recently reported that an industrial accident occurred at an oil and gas drilling facility that resulted in an explosion. The explosion then caused the facility to catch on fire. It was unclear what exactly may have happened in the accident that led to the explosion.
Fire crews had to work through the night in order to contain the flames. The event resulted in one drilling worker suffering injuries, but details on the individual and the injuries were not available at the time of the report. It was noted that the person was considered to be in stable condition. Additional information may become available at a later time.
Being involved in such an incident may be a great fear of many California workers. Unfortunately, this type of event could occur without warning, and parties may simply find themselves having to deal with the aftermath. If individuals do suffer serious workplace injuries, they may need financial assistance due to lost wages, medical bills and other related issues. Therefore, they may wish to find out more information on their options for applying for workers’ compensation benefits.
